Background
Dr. Calamak's expertise includes dam safety, 2D flood modeling, risk and reliability assessment in water resources engineering, structural flood mitigation, uncertainty-based seepage analysis, and fluid transients in pipes. With over 15 years of academic experience in various roles, including Associate Professor, he has taught a wide range of courses in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, water resources engineering, and numerical methods. Beyond the academia, Dr. Calamak has extensive industry experience in water resources engineering. As a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), he has worked on flood risk management and hydrologic modeling projects. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Canadian Dam Association (CDA), International Association for Hydro-Environmental Engineering and Research (IAHR), and International Water Resources Association (IWRA).
