What's your favorite thing about Columbia?
My favorite thing about Columbia is Saturday night game days. Spending that time with my friends and other students always creates unforgettable memories.
What are your hobbies or things you like to do?
I enjoy going to the gym for a little self-care time, and I also love watching scary movies.
What has surprised you the most about Nursing school?
One thing that has surprised me the most about nursing school is how supportive the professors are. They truly care about our success and provide many opportunities to help us reach our goals.
What is an accomplishment in college that you are very proud of?
An accomplishment in college that I am very proud of is being able to balance my coursework, other responsibilities, and a social life, and because of that, I was able to be on the President’s Honor List.
Why did you choose USC?
I chose USC because its nursing program stood out to me the most, and the welcoming environment made it feel like a home away from home. I also wanted to attend an SEC school that was far enough to give me independence but still close enough to home.
What advice would you give incoming students?
The advice I would give to incoming students would be to branch out and cherish the friendships you make at USC. Also, don’t compare yourself to how others are doing — go at your pace, focus on your grades, and remember to reward yourself for both small and big accomplishments!
