What's your favorite thing about Columbia?
My favorite thing about Columbia is the sense of community and the beautiful campus atmosphere. I absolutely love visiting Soda City Market on Saturdays. It’s the perfect way to enjoy local vendors, food, and music while spending time with friends downtown.
What are your hobbies or things you like to do?
In my free time, I enjoy journaling, traveling, spending time with friends, cooking, and working out.
What has surprised you the most about Nursing school?
What has surprised me most about nursing school is how much it involves personal growth in addition to academics. It’s not just about learning medical information; the program also provides amazing networking events, resources, and tools that help students connect with professors, clinical professionals, and peers. These experiences have helped me build confidence, develop strong communication skills, and better understand what it means to grow into a successful nurse.
What is an accomplishment in college that you are very proud of?
I’m most proud of maintaining strong grades while balancing multiple jobs and leadership roles. It’s been rewarding to see my hard work pay off and to know that I’m building a solid foundation for my nursing career.
Why did you choose USC?
I chose USC because of the incredible nursing program, school spirit, and the welcoming environment. From my first campus visit, I knew it was a place where I could thrive both academically and personally.
What advice would you give incoming students?
Stay organized, stay involved, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. College can feel overwhelming at first, but you’ll find your rhythm. Surround yourself with positive people, take care of your mental health, and remember why you started.
