This annual research symposium showcases work done by students at all levels across the University of South Carolina system. All graduate students are invited to present posters on their work and gain experience presenting on their research to the larger university community.

3-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT)
This annual competition challenges graduate students to communicate their research in substantive and accessible ways for non-specialist audiences.

Each Fall
Awards & Recognition
The first-place winner of the 3-Minute Thesis Competition receives:
- A $1000 award
- Eligibility for a paid trip to represent the university at the regional 3MTD competition at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools (CSGS).

Dance Your Ph.D. Contest
This competition invites doctoral students and Ph.D. recipients to explain their research through interpretive dance. Sponsored by Science magazine and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
