New research from Kathleen Broussard examines parental influences on contraceptive autonomy among adolescents and young adults in the U.S. South

Kathleen Broussard, a faculty member in the Department of Sociology, recently published an article examining the parental influences on contraceptive use.

Parental influences on contraceptive autonomy among adolescents in the Southern USA ,

published in Culture, Health, & Sexuality in collaboration with Dr. Emily Mann and four undergraduate USC students. Investigates the role of parents in shaping their daughters’ contraceptive use, preferences, and decision-making.
