Meg AuBuchon  

Meg is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from Charlotte, NC. Meg is majoring in theatre with a concentration in performance and minoring in mass communications. Throughout her time at USC, she has been involved in WUSC, Capstone Scholars, Capstone Ambassadors, and is currently serving as the Executive Director for USC's Ghostlight Productions, a student-led theatre organization. Her most recent theatrical work with the university includes the role of Cecily in the Fall 2025 production of The Importance of Being Earnest.

Jill Bourbeau

Jill is a junior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from central New Jersey. Jill is majoring in biology. After transferring to USC, she has been involved in community service with NOTES, Greek life, and Carolina Girls Who Walk, while pursuing Graduation with Leadership Distinction (GLD) and remaining on track for Physician Assistant graduate school.

Beyza Cakir

Beyza is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from the local town of Lexington in South Carolina. She is majoring in neuroscience with a concentration in neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders. As a transfer student, her transition to USC has guided her towards maximizing the school's resources, adjusting to a new environment, and exploring her interest in neuroscience. She is excited to apply her experiences into supporting her fellow peers as they navigate their journey at USC.

Tremaine Harmon  

Tremaine Harmon is a Carolina Experience Peer Leader in his junior year. Tremaine is majoring in Psychology with a minor in counseling education and is currently on track for law school in the future. In his time here at USC he has gotten involved with programs like the Close Family Emerging Leaders program and the Pillars for Carolina program. These programs have helped him find his place at USC and loves to help out where he can.

Ashleigh Howard

Ashleigh is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from Upstate South Carolina. Ashleigh is majoring in neuroscience with a minor in art studio on the pre-dental track. Throughout her time here she has been involved in Delta Delta Sigma pre-dental honors society, undergraduate research, and Honors College organizations.

Harper Joyce

Harper is a junior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from Atlanta, Georgia. Harper is majoring in Biological Sciences on the pre- Physician Assistant track and is a member of the Capstone Scholars Program. Throughout her time at USC, she has been involved in Pillars for Carolina, Gamecock Club Swim, and volunteer work through the Leadership and Service Center. She has also had the opportunity to study abroad in Switzerland, where she explored the field of infectious diseases. Following graduation, she is on track to pursue graduate studies.

Lanie Painter

Lanie is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from coastal North Carolina. Lanie is majoring in advertising with double minors in event management and social media. During her time at the University of South Carolina, she has been actively involved in the Student Advertising Federation and has served on the leadership team of her Panhellenic sorority, Pi Beta Phi, as Social Director. Lanie also studied abroad in Barcelona through the College of Information and Communications, worked at the Masters golf tournament for the past two years, and is pursuing Graduation with Leadership Distinction (GLD). She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences, building connections, and helping new students feel at home at Carolina.

Malachi Quarles

Malachi Quarles is a Graduate Carolina Experience Peer Leader from upstate South Carolina. Malachi is pursuing his master’s degree in data and communications. Throughout his time at the university, he has been a part of various organizations on campus. Going on to his second year as the president of Gamecock Barbell Club, he is also an athlete for the Gamecock Powerlifting sports club. Along with this, he is a model for Garnet And Black, and a member of the Information Science Student Association.

Gianni Racioppi

Gianni is a junior transfer student from Northern New Jersey. Gianni is majoring in sports media with a minor in sport & entertainment management. During his time at USC, he has been involved with Pillars For Carolina as an Extended Mentor, Student Gamecock Television as a Contributor, the Carolina-Clemson Blood Drive and is a member of Tau Sigma honor society.

Jamia Radden-Stradford

Jamia is a junior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from Columbia, South Carolina. Jamia is majoring in finance and real estate with a minor in military science at the Darla Moore School of Business. Alongside her academics, Jamia serves in the U.S. Army Reserve as an Automated Logistical Specialist. On campus, she is involved in the Black Business Student Association, Carolina Finance Investment Association and Garnet Fund, She enjoys investing, entrepreneurship, and traveling abroad. Jamia plans to attend graduate school after completing her undergraduate degree and is passionate about building a career in business while continuing to serve as an Army officer.

Amber Reynolds

Amber is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from the suburbs of Charlotte. Amber is majoring in hospitality management with a minor in event management. At USC, she has been involved in the Capstone Scholars Program as a Capstone Ambassador and now a Capstone Fellow, is a University 101 Peer Leader, and is pursuing Graduation with Leadership Distinction.

Shannon Sime

Shannon is a junior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from the suburbs of Chicago. Shannon is majoring in public health with a double minor in statistics and dance, and is planning to attend Physician Assistant school in the future. Throughout her time at USC she has been involved in Greek Life, Dance Marathon, Garnet Circle, clinic volunteer work, research, and has studied abroad with Semester at Sea. In her free time she likes to watch sports, dance, go to concerts, and travel!

Taylor Simpkins

Taylor is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from the CSRA, Central Savannah River Site Area. Taylor is majoring in Environmental Science on a pre-medical track. Throughout her time at USC, she has been involved as a member of the ACORN SEEDS student research group, her own independent research through the USC Magellan grant, serves as president of Epsilon Psi Epsilon, a pre-optometry and ophthalmology club, Capstone Scholars, and Galen Health Fellows.

Rian Stoney

Rian is a junior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from Charleston, South Carolina. Rian is majoring in political science with a minor in criminal justice. Throughout her time at USC, she has served as the Membership Engagement Chair of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, participated in Carolina Girls Who Walk, contributed to undergraduate research on the School-to-Prison Pipeline project, served as a member of the Homecoming General Commission, and remained involved in dance. Rian plans to attend law school after graduation and pursue a career in corporate law.

Matt Thorpe

Matt is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from the South Carolina Lowcountry. Matt is majoring in political science with a minor in sociology. Matt is a GED recipient and a transfer student to USC. While at USC, Matt has been involved with Garnet Media Group, has had the opportunity to study abroad and has been inducted into the Tau Sigma and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies. Matt is pursuing Graduation with Leadership Distinction (GLD) in professional engagement has started on a track for graduate school by taking part in USCs Accelerated MPA program.

Jason Tran

Jason is a senior Carolina Experience Peer Leader from the outskirts of Charlotte. Jason is majoring in neuroscience with a concentration in cognitive and behavioral neuroscience while pursuing the pre-med track in preparation for a career in radiology. He transferred from Winthrop University and is now entering his third year at USC. During his time at USC, he has been involved in several student organizations, including the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA). He also previously served as Secretary of the Asian Barbell Association (ABA).
