Edward Greenwood

This summer I, Edward Greenwood, worked at Lockheed Martin Aircraft and Logistics Center at the Donaldson Center Airport in Greenville, SC. I was employed by Dale F. Conover, Jr. in the Supplier Quality Assurance department. The two most valuable things that I learned this summer are SAP and the importance of communication skills. The technical skills I gained from using SAP will greatly enhance my resume because SAP transactions, such as QM10 and ZM98, are universal with any company that uses SAP. This is beneficial because Greenville is a major area for manufacturing companies. These skills will make me very marketable because I have the knowledge to use all of the major modules in SAP.

The business side of my education has helped me more in my experience with Lockheed Martin than my technical educations. I was required to use my business etiquette on a daily basis, especially, when we had a meeting with the president of Lockheed Martin. The database systems, such as Access and Oracle, which I learned through my education, did not help me because I did not have an opportunity to use those skills because of SAP.

My career goals are to become a manager. The opportunities that Lockheed Martin provides will fall right within my career goals. Lockheed Martin offers great benefits and the compensation is well above average. Also, I have been informed recently that the Human Resources department is working on getting job offers out to this summer’s class of interns. Overall, I am very pleased with what I have given and received from Lockheed Martin.
